At the National Jewellery Awards – 2019, Mr. Dibyendu Manna and Ms. Swetha Shanmuhavel represented VBJ at the 9th edition of National Jewellery Award 2019 and bagged the Artisan award and Student of the year award, respectively. The collection that won in the Artisan category, ‘Dance of Flowers’, is a unique piece of jewellery where at the front of the pendant, 7 beautiful flowers are placed in seamless rotation around a royal blue enameled base. At the back is fine enamel work inspired from the intricacies of the jali work. The materials used are 18k Yellow Gold and Diamonds.

The jury consisted of Bollywood’s celebrated jewellers, jewellery designers, socialists, fashion designers and B-Town’s celebrities. The winners were decided based on the fineness and finishing of the jewellery piece. Dibyendu Manna’s work was shortlisted from the screening process. The second round of evaluation was based on the theme ‘Nature/Organic’ and ‘Romance’. Swetha Shanmuhavel of VBJ won the ‘Student of the year’ award and was offered a scholarship of 1,00,000/- rupees.
